More wonderful words...
To say it was life changing seems almost not strong enough of a description to express how much the training has meant to me.
As a mentor she helped push me to try harder and go further to connect with my students, but mostly she helped me to connect better with the heart of me. I know I will be a stronger teacher for it.
As a friend, she was able to hold space for me when I could not. The prayers and love she surrounded me with was nothing less than miraculous.
As a yogini, she has set such a shining example for me on how to live my yoga off the mat – being real and authentic and non-judgmental – fully accepting of what is.
As a teacher, her grasp of the anatomy, sutras, the Yamas and niyamas and the various forms of yoga helped to round out my base knowledge for yoga as well as leave me hungry for more. She exposed me to so much in a short period of time.
I wanted to take my yoga teaching to the next level but I never imagined she would teach me to fly.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and then some.
Wishing you peace and love,
Anna Dorwart, 2009 - 2010
When I first walked into your class, I had no idea what to expect. Walking through those doors was the best thing I have ever done. You have been a wonderful person inside and out. You would allow me to think for myself but call me out when you knew I was not telling the entire story. You did all of that with a warm and loving smile.
You have helped me understand and given me the candle and the light. You told me to just walk in. I love you and thank you for giving me – me.

I remember the first time I met you – a Tuesday night class. I was hiding in the back row, like all the other beginners. I remember knowing at that first practice that I needed to do this. I would work so hard at those practices – for what – I am not sure. My mind has been like a roller coaster with this journey, but my heart has always kept me with it.
I never in my life dreamt this is where I would be, but it doesn’t matter because we can never dream something quite this good unless you’ve been there and need to get back.
My growth is a testament to your guidance and I forever thank you for being there for me and allowing me to find my answers. I believe that is the only way for people to grown and it was meant to happen with you.
Love and gratitude,
Danielle Lindner
SPF has helped me reduce weight and keep it there, supported by a judicious diet. On the mental level, through SPF I feel more connected to myself, profoundly alert of my mental states, more attentive and focused. I sense the resistance of the ego drop as the breath carries the body with effortless ease during the practice. On the spiritual level, SPF helps me remain anchored to the present moment developing equanimity. I love it. "

"A sage once quipped that aging is about continually reinventing yourself. Yoga with Susan is about re-energizing and re-focusing, not just your body, but your mind and spirit. Susan's loving touch on and off the mat has helped me bring together many aspects of life. For years I resisted yoga, opting for running, cycling, and weightlifting, what you resist persists, and now, I've glimpsed the light."

"For the past six years, Susan’s class has sustained me. It is the one thing I have stayed with. My usual pattern is not sticking with or following through. I know Susan’s Yoga is for life."
With gratitude and blessings, Wendy Lofting

"Yoga has been in a mental plan to study since high school. I read books about yoga and yoga stretched after gymnastics workouts in college. Once I hit 40 I started to get more serious sports injuries from horseback riding, snow skiing, water skiing and running. Injuries included repaired anterior curiae ligament and torn meniscus, lower jaw neuralgia, lower back pain, shoulder pain and neck pain. My body hurt and I felt sad! For years I tried every therapy imaginable including Reiki healing, shiatsu massage, acupuncture, and physical therapy and chiropractic manipulation. Nothing gave me any long term success or relief. Yoga has. Having a supportive, kind and experienced instructor like Susan is icing on the cake! As a by product, yoga has caused me to feel really, really good about myself!"

WOW! That is all I can say about the yoga workshop. I am so glad that I was able to attend. You are an excellent instructor, very supportive of the students and willing to help. You are right that the three hours flies by, but the effects last. I was so sore and tired - but it was good. I feel that I have a better understanding of the flow and the proper alignment in the poses. It was great to slow things down and focus instead of just moving on through to the next pose.
Thanks, Krista Lauterwald
I wanted to write you a note to let you know how much yoga class meant to me today.
Since the beginning of the year I’ve gotten through two cancer scares, one major surgery with a 6 week recovery and just recently said good bye to two friends who died too young. I came to class today feeling mentally exhausted and fragile. You inspired me! Your practice accomplished all the things I needed to hear and do to help me put the past few months behind me. In fact, you actually focused on poses for putting the past behind us. Thank you for being you and for inspiring me to look forward. You’re wonderful.
