Personally each student walks away with something different. The best way to describe the experience is you get what you put into it. Here is what some of our students have to say:
I can’t even begin to describe how I feel about you as a teacher, and my experience with the 200 hour teacher training. You have always been an inspiration to me. Your insights, your way with words, your intuition – everything about you makes you an exceptional teacher. After going to my first class with you, I knew I needed to keep coming to your class, because I knew I had so much to learn from you.
I knew soon after I began regularly practicing yoga that I wanted to teach, but there was such fear there! You have helped me to learn about myself, accept and love myself, and showed me ways to share with others. This 200 hour training has been life changing for me. Sure, my knowledge of yogic principles has grown, but that doesn’t even scratch the surface of what I have learned.
I am so grateful to have met you, and for having you as my teacher. Thank you.
Peace and happiness,
Lexa Chernin, 2009 - 2010
Wow – 200 hours seemed so huge! But here we are at the very end and I’m such a better person all around from this experience. I feel that I have a real foundation to build my teaching upon but also my own personal practice. I now realize that this is the very beginning. There is so much to learn and practice. Susan, you gave me such a well-rounded education and so much of it was reinforced through your own lifestyle.
I find myself using skills from this training in all aspects of my life. I am a better wife, better mom, better sister, daughter and therapist (and of course yoga teacher).
At times, I felt challenged but you and my fellow trainees helped me grow and gave me very real feedback. That was a wonderful balance.
I currently recommend yoga to all I interact with and now will do the same with your 200 Hour YTT. I can’t think of a better investment, yourself.
Thank you for your passion, experience, kindness and encouragement. I will always look back at this time and draw from my experience
Love always,
Meg Myers
I have taken many yoga workshops and had been shopping around for years for a 200 hour teacher training that I felt would be the right fit for me. Susan’s training was absolutely the right choice. It is organized and practical yet at the same time loving and spiritual. Susan really knows ho to make the 5000 year old practice of yoga come alive in the 21st century.
She has taught me how to dig deep and find my true essence and helped me to be confident enough to share my true self. It is truly a genuine yoga experience – full of truth and kindness. It gives you the tools you need to pass on the gifts of the yogic journey and takes you higher on your personal yogic travels.
The best things to me were:
Everyone’s journey is unique and she was there for each different path
A sense of community and closeness with the whole class. A real felling of being together and learning together.
Hands on practical teaching methods growing my confidence each step of the way
Sharing in the other student’s gifts and working as a group to help learn how the best way to share our gifts to our students
I truly enjoyed each time we met and learned together as a group

I came to yoga for a good workout after my doctor told me not to run anymore. I have gotten so, so, so much more that that. With another instructor I think that might not have been the case. There is something inside of you, Susan that makes me want more – more understanding, more love and compassion, more knowledge, more confidence, and more connection. You have given me an invaluable gift for which I can never repay you. You have given me the tools to know myself, love myself and live happy and free. Thank you for helping me heal. Thank you for giving me back my spirituality when it was so broken. Thank you for showing me how I want to live and enjoy this experience called life. I truly believe I’m a better person – or more correctly – I’m more open to the goodness that was already inside of me. Thank you for being you because you helped me find me.
Forever yours,
Elizabeth Gerht
